“Sony Blu-ray BDP-S360 wins the prize!” 2010-02-01
By mommomginny (PA)
I studied ads and web options for weeks. This Blu-ray was chosen because of price and because it was a Sony product. I am partial to Sony products. It works as advertized. Very happy with it. Amazon delivered as I was told. Great product!

“Motor sound annoying – purring sound” 2010-02-01
By W. Hernandez (San Rafael, CA)
This played great, beautiful images and upscaling, great remote. HOWEVER, you can hear the motor running during the silent parts of the movie. It sounds like a cat purring even from 10 feet away even with my headphones on. Also, depending on the material, the spinning drive may sound like a loud mosquito. Called Sony and they said to unplug it to reset it. They said they never heard of those problems and yet people are complaining of the noise in their forums. Resetting did not help. Do a search for purring on this unit and you will see. Apparently you have to live with it. Totally unacceptable. I took it back and got a Toshiba bdx2000 which even though I can hear it humming, it’s not annoying. Bad workmanship for this Sony product and surprising.

“Sony Blue Ray” 2010-02-01
By M. Breier
Haven’t used it very much so I can’t do a good job of rating it. The picture is good but the audio stinks. It’s probably due to the speakers on my new Sony 40 inch KDL VE5 which has really bad speakers. Can’t blame it on the Blu-ray as it can only work with what it’s connected to.

“Great Blu-Ray for the price” 2010-02-01
By Laura M (Boston, MA)
I had one of the original blu-rays, and though the quality is phenomenal, it was really slow to load. We got this for our second TV, but ended up using it in the living room, as it was so much faster to load. Great value!

“Good Player for the Money” 2010-02-01
By W. L. Moran (Minneapolis, MN USA)
The Sony BDP-S360 Blu-ray palyer has done a great job playing Blu-ray discs and upconverting DVD’s. The price was extremely reasonable, given the pricing history of Blu-ray players. The only issues I have relate to the remote not having an “open/close” function and the inability to stream Netflix. Otherwise, the player does a terrific job.

You have to express more your opinion to attract more readers, because just a video or plain text without any personal approach is not that valuable. But it is just form my point of view
